Here are the things people ask me most often. If you don’t see your question here, just email me at admin@easyamis.com — I’m happy to help.

📌 General Questions

1. What is EasyAmis?
EasyAmis is a free library of amigurumi crochet patterns. I find and share the cutest free patterns from all over the internet, so you don’t have to spend hours searching. Every pattern includes a link back to the original designer.

2. Is everything really free?
Yes! Every pattern I share on EasyAmis is completely free at the time of posting. If a designer later changes their pattern to paid, I’ll do my best to update or remove the link. But always double‑check before you start crocheting.

3. Do you create the patterns yourself?
No — I’m a curator, not the designer (unless I occasionally share my own patterns in the future). I find amazing free patterns from talented designers around the world and link to them with full credit. The designers are the real heroes.

🧸 Using Patterns

4. Can I sell toys I make from EasyAmis patterns?
Please check the original designer’s terms (linked in each pattern). Some allow small‑scale sales with credit; others do not. When in doubt, ask the designer directly. EasyAmis does not set those rules.

5. Can I share a pattern with my crochet group?
Absolutely! Please share the link to the pattern on EasyAmis or the designer’s original site. Please do not share the PDF file itself — that hurts the designer.

6. I found a mistake in a pattern. What do I do?
Contact the original designer first — they created the pattern and can fix it. You can also let me know, and I’ll add a note or update the link if needed.

7. A link is broken or the pattern is no longer free.
Oh no! Thank you for telling me. Please email me at admin@easyamis.com with the pattern name, and I’ll fix it as soon as I can.

📄 PDF Downloads

8. How do I download the PDF?
At the bottom of every pattern post, you’ll find a “Download PDF” button. Click it, and the PDF will open or save to your device. Then print it and crochet from paper — no screens needed!

9. Can I share the PDF with my friends?
Please share the link to EasyAmis or the designer’s site instead of the PDF file. This helps the designer get credit (and keeps free patterns coming).

🆕 For Beginners

10. I’ve never crocheted before. Can I still make amigurumi?
Yes! Start with the Guides section. I have step‑by‑step tutorials on the magic ring, single crochet, increases, decreases, and more. Pick a very simple pattern (a ball or a basic bear) and be patient with yourself. Your first one will be wobbly — and that’s beautiful.

11. What yarn and hook should I start with?
For beginners, I recommend:

  • Worsted weight (size 4) yarn in a light color (easier to see your stitches)

  • 3.5mm – 4.0mm crochet hook

  • Stitch markers (or use bobby pins!)

  • Polyester fiberfill for stuffing

12. My magic ring keeps coming undone. Help!
We’ve all been there. The magic ring takes practice. Watch the video tutorial in Guides — and remember, you can always chain 2 and work into the first chain instead. There’s more than one way to start!

13. I have a free pattern. Can you publish it on EasyAmis?
Yes! I’d love to see it. Email me at admin@easyamis.com with:

  • A link to your pattern (or the written instructions)

  • 1–2 photos of the finished toy

  • Your name / social handle (I’ll credit you fully!)

If I publish it, I’ll link directly to your pattern. You keep full credit and ownership.

14. Do you accept paid patterns?
Not at this time. EasyAmis is a free pattern only blog. But feel free to email me anyway — I may add a paid section in the future.

15. Do you collect my personal information?
Only if you email me. I don’t sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever. For full details, please read my Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

16. Someone is using my pattern without permission on EasyAmis.
I take copyright seriously. Please email me at admin@easyamis.com with a DMCA notice (see my DMCA Notice page). I will remove the content promptly.

You can always suggest a pattern! Email me at admin@easyamis.com with the type of amigurumi you’d like to see (e.g., “more dinosaurs” or “cute vegetables”). I can’t promise I’ll find it, but I’ll try my best.

20. Can I donate to support EasyAmis?
That’s so kind of you! I don’t have a donation button right now. The best way to support me is to share EasyAmis with a friend, save pins on Pinterest, or follow me on social media. That helps more than you know. 💕
